Scripted Narratives

Group Theory develops and produces scripted narratives with the same belief that drives all of our filmmaking: character first, emotion remains central, and plot in service of both.

The Sound of Silence, co-written and produced by Ben Nabors and starring Peter Sarsgaard and Rashida Jones, premiered in US Dramatic Competition at the Sundance Film Festival and was released by IFC Films. Palimpsest, the short that grew into that feature, won a Special Jury Prize at Sundance. Actor Seeks Role, starring Alex Karpovsky and Dylan Baker, won the Grand Jury Prize at IFFBoston and premiered with The New Yorker. Prepartum played festivals internationally, including Omeleto.

Our publishing arm, This Is It, develops original stories as comics first, including the science fiction series Translunar and Dream Feeds. Several titles are in development for screen, as we test worlds with real audiences before cameras roll.
