Ben Nabors Talks Dream Feeds on the Comic Crusaders Podcast
Ben Nabors sat down with Al Mega on episode #687 of the Comic Crusaders Podcast to talk about Dream Feeds — the sci-fi horror comic from This Is It, with art by Dalts Dalton.
The conversation covers the book's central premise: a teenager from rural Appalachia who uploads his nightmares to a dream-sharing platform and becomes an overnight sensation. From there, things get worse. Ben and Al dig into why the monetization-of-dreams hook feels uncomfortably close to the creator economy we already live in, why Appalachia grounds the story emotionally, and what body horror looks like in the algorithm era.
They also spend time on the physical craft of the book: Dalts’ hand-inks on large-format paper, with some sequences built through collage, giving Dream Feeds a rough, visceral quality that fits the story's emotional danger.
